Author Bio
Kim Bambrook is an author, poet, writing mentor and adventurer.
A whimsical child prone to wandering the paddocks of her childhood farm and making up stories, Kim entered adulthood seeking adventure and exploration. Filling travel journals was both a compulsion and Kim’s way of trying to make sense of the world.
The author's first novel, Undertow, was published in July 2022. It is a fictional Tasmanian adventure/survival story and reflects Kim's love of exploration and wilderness regions. Themes that resonate in Undertow, as in all of Kim's writing, include those of resilience, nature as guide and healer, and the power of love.
Kim started her current business to help other writers, as her mentor helped her on her writing journey. Whether it be a manuscript, letter, eulogy, speech, short story, poem, or a heading on an otherwise blank sheet, the author helps writers develop ideas and format writing with structure and cohesiveness.
Kim lives in Hobart, atop a hill and close to the sea. When not writing or working, Kim enjoys ocean swimming. Her latest poem is dedicated to her swimming tribe.
